Women's Ministry

Update August 17, 2009:

Ladies, we are looking forward to a new study together on Wednesday evenings by Priscilla Shirer called "He Speaks to Me".  We will begin on September 2 and go through November.  If you want to be a part of this study you can get your book at Lifeway Christian Store for $10.95.  Please purchase your book before the first class if at all possible.  This should be a wonderful opportunity to "grow in our knowledge of God" as Buddy talked about on Sunday.  Diane Tucker, Sara Randolph, Heather Smith, and Maurine Jones will be leading the discussions.

If you are unable to come on Wednesday evenings (or would like to reinforce your study and have more great fellowship), we will be following the same book on Tuesday mornings at 10:00.  Susan Amador and Maurine Jones will facilitate this time together and childcare will be arranged.  The first class will be September 1, so come with your book and your Bible.  Some plan to come on Tuesday mornings so that they are able to teach our children on Wednesday nights and this is a huge help and blessing to our children and to Benny.  Thank you for serving.

Other ministry news:

Every spring and fall, packages are assembled with all kinds of goodies, and mailed to soldiers and college students who are living away from Columbus.

The Ladies Retreat in 2009 will be the Women of Faith Conference in Atlanta, Friday and Saturday, August 28 and 29.

One important project for the Women's Ministry this year will be to build and stock a Ladies Closet.
